A Structural Engineer is needed for a global engineering, construction and project management company in the Richland, WA area. This role involves managing and executing complex structural engineering projects, including design, analysis, and documentation of steel and concrete structures, while coordinating with cross-functional teams and ensuring compliance with industry standards and codes.

responsibilities:
- Create and review complex structural engineering deliverables, including steel and concrete calculations, specifications, and material requisitions.
- Coordinate and review technical documents with/from other engineering disciplines, procurement, and construction teams.
- Prepare technical reports addressing specific design issues.
- Manage assigned project activities effectively.
- Assist in constructability reviews to ensure designs can be efficiently built.
- Support construction teams by addressing field change requests and nonconformance reports.
- Mentor or coach subordinate engineers and designers to develop their skills.
- Schedule and coordinate off-project review requirements for engineering deliverables.
- Lead and participate in technical discussions with clients, suppliers, and construction teams.
- Proficient in detailed design of steel and concrete structures.
- strong knowledge of AISC Steel Construction Manual, ACI 318, and ASCE 7 standards.
- Skilled in structural analysis software such as GTSTRUDL or SAP2000.
- Experience with CADD applications like MicroStation or AutoCAD.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel for documentation and analysis.
- Familiarity with engineering deliverables (drawings, specifications, material requisitions).
- Understanding of work processes in other disciplines and departments.
- Effective communication skills for expressing technical issues clearly.
- Ability to resolve design issues collaboratively with various teams.
- Proficiency in Mathcad or similar software for calculations.
Level 1:
- Bachelor's degree in Structural/Civil Engineering from an accredited institution.5-8 years of relevant experience or
- 9-12 years of relevant work experience without a degree.
- Level 2:
- Bachelor's degree in Structural/Civil Engineering from an accredited institution.
- 8-10 years of relevant experience or 12-14 years of relevant work experience without a degree.
