Large utility is looking for an Electrical (I&C) Project Engineer in Jackson, MI. This role involves designing, planning, and providing technical support for electrical, instrumentation, and control systems at natural gas facilities, while coordinating with multiple internal and external teams to ensure compliance with engineering standards and project requirements. responsibilities:
- Provide planning, design, and construction support for electrical power, instrumentation, and control systems at natural gas facilities.
- Deliver accurate engineering services, integrating standards and procedures within budget.
- Use computer-assisted design and drafting software.
- Adhere to standard procedures for file structure and drawing standards.
- Support and engineer large customer meter stands.
- Develop and maintain engineering standards.
- Engage with multiple internal and external groups/service providers.
- Utilize strong oral and written communication skills.
- Act as onsite project representative.
- Ability to independently evaluate and apply engineering theory.
- Experience in utility operations and business models.
- Familiarity with National Electrical Code/NFPA 70 and Electrical System Design/Installation.
- Proficiency with SCADA RTU platforms.
- strong leadership, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (or related field) from an ABET-accredited program, or
- An Associate's Degree in applied science.
