A Material Specialist is needed for an American corporation that manufactures agricultural, construction, and forestry machinery, diesel engines, drivetrains (axles, transmissions, gearboxes) used in heavy equipment, and lawn care equipment in the Waterloo, IA area. This role involves planning and scheduling simple manufacturing processes, coordinating material requirements and production parts, and assisting with inventory accuracy and administrative tasks, requiring a business-related degree and proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel.

responsibilities:
- Plan and schedule simple manufacturing processes for current production and service parts.
- Schedule material requirements following the company's Production System, including kanbans/triggers.
- Ensure delivery and achievement of the production schedule.
- Develop line sequencing of options as needed.
- Provide work direction when necessary.
- Schedule production parts and service parts.
- Expedite production and purchased parts to meet schedules.
- Coordinate the availability of needed parts from other departments.
- Communicate and coordinate the implementation of engineering and material changes.
- Assist the production department with manpower planning.
- Perform general administrative duties to support departmental needs.
- Manufacturing experience is a plus.
- Proficiency in computer skills, especially MS Office (Excel).
