A Material Planner in the Syracuse, NY area is needed for a multinational power management company. The Material Planner coordinates procurement, inventory management, and supplier collaboration to ensure timely material availability, optimal inventory levels, and seamless production operations.

responsibilities:
- Coordinate procurement and inventory management to support production schedules and customer demand.
- Generate and maintain machine queues based on production schedules and inventory targets.
- Work with suppliers to procure materials, components, and parts according to lead times and quality standards.
- Monitor inventory levels of raw materials, finished goods, and components, replenishing stock as needed.
- Collaborate with production teams to prioritize and schedule material deliveries.
- Conduct inventory audits and cycle counts to verify accuracy and reconcile discrepancies.
- Communicate with cross-functional teams (production, logistics, and purchasing) to resolve supply chain issues.
- Knowledge of supply chain principles, inventory control, and materials management best practices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP/MRP systems for inventory management.
- strong analytical and problem-solving skills for data-driven decision-making.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

- 1-3 years of experience in materials planning, procurement, or inventory management.
