An Assistant Buyer Planner is needed for a medical technology company focused on the repair, regeneration and replacement of soft and hard tissue in the Memphis, TN area. The role supports Buyer/Planners by placing supplier orders, managing inventory, coordinating procurement activities, and ensuring material availability using SAP.

responsibilities:
- Assist Buyer/Planners in placing supplier orders using SAP.
- Communicate with suppliers regarding order acknowledgments.
- Track and trace order information as directed by Buyer/Planners.
- Perform clerical functions related to buying and planning.
- Execute purchase orders and manage order changes for optimal material delivery.
- Ensure availability of purchased materials to support production while maintaining budgeted inventory levels.
- Maintain production material inventory and purchase plans aligned with the master production schedule.
- Resolve issues related to rejected purchased materials.
- Actively participate in cross-functional projects and collaborate with teams.
- Experience in purchasing and planning roles.
- Proficiency in Excel and Word (medium level).
- Knowledge of purchasing tools and systems, with SAP preferred.
- strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and coordination abilities.
- Ability to manage inventory within budget constraints.
- Demonstrated leadership and organizational skills.
