This position would be a direct hire or potential temp to direct hire role in the Lobard, IL area. The right person to be a dynamic technical professional with the ability to build internal and external business relationships. This person will have a good understanding of metals and alloys, along with the knowledge of manufacturing processes, material certifications and internal ISO auditing procedures. Must have excellent communication skills with the ability to think from a manufacturing cost and procurement perspective. A four year technical degree or business is highly preferred, but will consider 10+ years related experience in a similar environment. responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain relationships with material sources, keeping consistency of quality, product delivery and pricing
- Manage vendors through performance evaluations and supply chain performance reports
- Sustainability with product knowledge and industry trends as related to materials
- Review and update replenishment plans as adjusted to market conditions
- Communicate regularly with key stakeholders within engineering and manufacturing teams
- Oversee that all regulations and industry standards are being met on a regular basis
- 10+ Years of related work experience / BS degree within technical field or business is highly preferred
- Must have background within manufacturing / engineering and basic knowledge of metal and alloy materials
- Top notch communication skills with the ability to build solid relationships and maintain sustainable efficiencies
- Must have knowledge of manufacturing process, material certifications, internal ISO auditing and inspection methods
- Proficiency in MS PowerPoint, Excel, Dynamics along with ERP Purchasing tools.
