A Receiving Inspector in the Los Angeles, CA area is needed for a multinational power management company. The Receiving Inspector is responsible for performing in-process and incoming inspections of aerospace hydraulic, pneumatic, electric, and mechanical components using precision measurement tools to ensure compliance with manufacturing and quality standards.

responsibilities:
- Performs visual and dimensional inspections on precision-machined aerospace components and assemblies.
- Reviews and approves paperwork/documentation for product acceptance.
- Generates inspection reports to approve or reject products.
- Uses precision measurement equipment, including calipers, micrometers, pin gauges, thread plugs, thread gauges, spring testers, optical comparators, surface plates, and basic CMM (Zeiss).
- Completes data processing transactions related to inspections.
- Understands geometrical tolerancing and dimensional measurements (ASME Y14.5).
- Applies AQL sampling per internal procedures or ANSI/ASQC Z1.4 guidelines.
- Conducts First Article Inspections per AS9102 standards.
- Uses Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) for documentation and reporting.
- Expertise in using precision measurement tools.
- strong understanding of GD&T and dimensional measurements.
- Knowledge of AQL sampling methods.
- Experience with First Article Inspection Reports (AS9102).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in mechanical inspection of aerospace products.
