A Project Specialist is needed for a manufacturing company considered one of the world's leading innovators in materials science in the Wilmington, NC area. This role is responsible for developing, maintaining, and analyzing project schedules, coordinating with task owners, managing constraints, and ensuring efficient project execution through communication, reporting, and resource planning.

responsibilities:
- Send weekly emails on overdue tasks and upcoming tasks (weekly work plan).
- Communicate driving predecessors that impact target dates to task owners and project leads.
- Develop and update short-interval schedules with superintendents and field engineers.
- Assist the project team in maintaining periodic status reports for management.
- Develop and manage a constraint log and obtain commitments to resolve constraints.
- Monitor and communicate resource utilization (people & budget) through the project plan.
- Mentor leaders and task owners on planning processes and constraint resolution.
- Log new information and provide scheduled coordination and reporting updates.
- Refine tasks and sub-tasks to meet project requirements on schedule.
- Work with project teams and task managers to update schedules, cost information, and variance identification.
- Assist in developing mechanical and electrical installation checklists and schedules.
- AAS in Engineering Technology, BS in Engineering Technology, or BS in Engineering.
- Equivalent work experience may be considered for project managers with integrated scheduling experience.
Technical Skills Required:
- MS Project experience (Primavera is also acceptable).
- Proficiency in execution methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, Sprint, Lean/Last Planning).
- MS Outlook experience.
- strong attention to detail.
