An Electronics Test Technician is needed for a technology company that designs and manufactures connectors and sensors for several industries, such as automotive, industrial equipment, data communication systems, and more, in the Mundelein, IL area. This position will perform electrical and environmental testing, inspections, and quality assurance on complex hand-wired electronic assemblies while ensuring compliance with company standards and safety regulations.

responsibilities:
- Perform electrical and mechanical inspections to verify compliance with quality standards.
- Maintain accurate test and inspection records.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical documents, and diagrams.
- Conduct electrical testing, including continuity, series resistance, capacitance, insulation resistance, dielectric withstand voltage, and insertion loss.
- Perform environmental testing such as thermal shock.
- Utilize measuring equipment like micrometers, calipers, and go/no-go gauges.
- Enter data into Microsoft products (Excel, Word, etc.).
- Support manufacturing personnel as needed.
- Experience in electrical and mechanical inspection and testing.
- Knowledge of solderability, resistance measurement, dielectric withstand voltage (DWV), and insulation resistance testing.
- First Article Inspection experience preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents.
- Experience working safely with electrical test equipment, small hand tools, and assembly ovens.
- strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and detect/correct issues efficiently.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in electronics.
- Technical Electronics trade school required.
