A Product Development Scientist is needed for the world's largest food and beverage company in the Bridgewater, NJ area. This position will lead product and process development projects from conception to production by driving innovation, ensuring compliance, coaching associates, and influencing project outcomes with minimal supervision.

responsibilities:
- Drive projects, processes, and product development through innovation and renovation.
- Manage projects from conception to first plant production with minimal supervision.
- Develop and commercialize competitive products to meet operational targets.
- Lead and influence project results across cross-functional teams and management.
- Establish strong relationships to support market and business performance.
- Coach less experienced associates on best practices in product development.
- Ensure compliance with Food Safety, Food Quality, Occupational Safety, Health, and Environment policies.
- Problem solving and analytical skills.
- strong business acumen and project management expertise.
- Effective communication, influencing, and consensus-building abilities.
- Ability to coach and mentor associates.
- Knowledge of formulation (tablets, capsules, softgels preferred).
- Understanding of GMP compliance and pharmaceutical/nutraceutical processes.
- Expertise in mixing, compression, granulation, drying, and coating processes.
- Experience with stability studies and preformulation skills.
- Proficiency in Excel, MS Office, Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint.
- Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in engineering, technology, or sciences.
- 5-7 years of experience in science, engineering, or related fields.
- Factory experience is preferred.
