Growing manufacturer is seeking a permanent Machine Design Engineer. This position is located near Columbia, Tennessee. The Machine Design Engineer will perform product design, computer analysis, and technical development for new capital machinery products and technologies using successful interaction with vendors, internal team members, and customers.
The salary for this position is dependent on experience ranging up to $120K plus other benefits! All candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States of America.

responsibilities:
- Apply Design for Manufacturing (DFM), Design for Six Sigma (DFSS), and Design for Manufacturing Assembly (DFMA) to new product designs
- Design components to be manufactured via machining, sheet metal bending/rolling, welding, CNC machining and other related processes using Autodesk Inventor CAD models and drawings
- Develop test procedures, conduct product testing, and design validation for production
- Perform and document Root Cause Analyses and Corrective Action Plans.
- Travel to customer locations as needed to troubleshoot issues and to ensure projects meet customer schedules
