Leading company that specializes in providing equipment/solutions for polymer processing, focusing on extrusion and converting technologies is in search of a Junior and Senior Level Controls Engineer that will be based in the greater Syracuse NY area. This is an exciting opportunity to come aboard a team that is focused developing software for drives and control systems, including PLC programming, HMI systems, AC/DC drives configuration and network design.
We are seeking candidates that have between 2-7 years of experience. Compensation range will be dependent upon skill level. responsibilities:
- Create/Program PLC programs using ladder editor, function block diagrams, flow charts, etc. for web converting equipment and associated functions
- Design and develop HMI applications
- Design and review PLC network architecture
- AC/DC drives configuration
- Integration of Legacy drives, controls and equipment
- Support the creation of technical product documentation and information
- In-house testing of software and systems
- Provide on-site assistance during system start-up and commissioning
- Remote and on-site customer support
- Assist Sales with pre-study analysis and reports
- Interact with customers as required
- Work closely with team members to complete projects and assignments
- Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, EHS&S programs
