A Buyer/Planner is needed for the world's largest standalone medical technology development company in the Dexter, MI area. This position will manage procurement, scheduling, and supplier coordination for raw materials and components while ensuring cost efficiency, quality, and adherence to project objectives.

responsibilities:
- Source, purchase, plan, and schedule the movement of raw materials, packaging, components, services, supplies, and finished goods.
- Identify raw material and component requirements based on engineering and production specifications.
- Analyze data to determine factors affecting pricing and ensure the lowest cost while maintaining quality, reliability, and delivery schedules.
- Deliver and oversee projects from design to implementation while adhering to policies.
- Act as a mentor to colleagues or guide lower-level professionals.
- Work independently on moderately complex projects with general supervision.
- Set objectives for project milestones and contribute to cross-functional assignments.
- Communicate frequently with internal contacts to share information, status, and issues.
- External interactions are minimal and usually not complex.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- strong critical thinking and advanced purchasing/buying skills.
- SAP APO SNP & Deployment knowledge is a plus.
- Requires a University Degree and minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, or
- Advanced degree with 0 years of experience.
