A manufacturer in Rome, GA is looking for a Drafter. The position will provide support to Sales, Customer Service, Manufacturing and Engineering in the drafting of new product designs. In addition, this position will support the production facility in the administration of the ISO-9001/Quality program. Must have AutoCAD and manufacturing experience.

responsibilities:
Accurately create new cross-section prints and edit existing drawings from files, sketches, verbal instructions, and sample material.
Read and interpret drawings of parts and communicate with customers for clarity of usage.
Identify potential design problems and communicate those both internally and to the customer.
Understand tolerances and interaction between mating parts.
Maintaining updated tooling prints in conjunction with the die shop tooling purchases.
Effectively interact with Sales, Production, Customer Service, and customers by phone, email, and in person to gather and share detailed information needed throughout the customer part onboarding process and subsequent production runs.
Use a variety of equipment and gauges to perform and document required inspection protocols.
Identify and document all non-conforming material.
Perform quality audits as required.
Ability to write and follow all applicable work instructions, policies, and procedures.
Monitor production quality as required and perform inspections per appropriate guidelines in order to ensure quality product.
