responsibilities:
- Identify and scope the civil engineering design and construction requirements for projects.
- Contract and collaborate with engineering services to complete project scope.
- Provide engineering review and technical leadership/authority.
- Collaborate with the Project Manager and Project Engineer on procurement, contracting construction services, and project steps.
- Complete project closeout activities, including record drawings and test records.
- Act as the civil subject-matter-expert and design authority for the company.
- Provide regular project updates to supervisor regarding status and risks (scope, quality, cost, schedule).
- Experience coordinating and developing contract documents (engineering drawings and technical specifications).
- Familiarity with civil/structural codes (NESC, NEC, ASCE MOP 113, ASCE 7, IBC/MBC, AISC, ACI 318, AWS D1.1).
- Proficiency with software tools (RISA, L-Pile, Civil3D, Microstation, ProjectWise, SAP).
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an ABET-accredited program (preferably in Civil/Structural Engineering).
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
