A Quality Engineer is needed for a major U.S. defense contractor and industrial corporation with core manufacturing concentrations in weapons and military and commercial electronics in the Phoenix, AZ area. This position will support quality improvements in Repair & Overhaul processes by analyzing data, resolving quality issues, ensuring safety, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance process effectiveness.

responsibilities:
- Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to identify and implement process improvements.
- Enforce safety regulations and promote a safe working environment.
- Analyze quality data from inspections to identify trends, root causes, and corrective actions.
- Investigate and resolve quality issues, implement corrective actions, and communicate findings.
- Address customer complaints and work to prevent future quality issues.
- Maintain detailed records of quality inspections, non-conformances, corrective actions, and quality metrics.
- Create and manage quality documentation.
- Perform additional tasks as directed by the Quality Manager.
- Understanding of operations processes and quality control methodologies.

- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, manuals, and specifications.
