A Wire and Electrical Equipment Engineer is needed for one of the world's largest suppliers of aerospace and defense products in the Everett, WA area. This position will design and integrate wire harnesses and electrical components for commercial aircraft monuments, ensuring compliance with vendor, OEM, and FAA requirements while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

responsibilities:
- Design wire harnesses and install them in monuments while meeting vendor, OEM, FAA, and internal requirements.
- Integrate electrical components using wire harness designs to ensure compliance with all relevant standards.
- Define schedules and scope of work as part of the Integrated Project Team.
- Direct and oversee the work of outsourced resources on electrical integration projects.
- Verify system configurations and block diagrams.
- Prepare, modify, and release CAD (NX) drawings to ensure fit, form, and function of designs.
- Design brackets and fixations for electrical components and wiring.
- Evaluate materials and parts for new designs and communicate with suppliers.
- Collaborate with other functional areas to provide input and participate in design reviews.
- Knowledge of Design for Manufacturability (DFM), Design for Quality, and Design to Cost (DTC) principles.
- Experience with assembly, test, and field support of electrical systems.
- Proficiency in NX, AutoCAD 2D, and Teamcenter.
- Prior experience designing electrical systems for commercial aircraft interiors.
- Familiarity with FAA requirements and wiring routing specifications.
- Experience with mechanical routing of electrical harnesses, hydraulic lines, or other systems.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Aerospace, or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent experience).
- 3-5 years of experience in wire harness design and installation using 3D modeling software (NX preferred).
