A Senior Strategic Sourcing Specialist is needed for an an American Fortune 500 company and global supplier of paints, coatings, and specialty materials in the Remote or near Mojave, CA area. The Senior Strategic Sourcing Specialist responsible for managing raw material sourcing, collaborating with R&D, and ensuring supply assurance, cost savings, and supplier flexibility in the Aerospace business.

responsibilities:
- Combine category management with upstream collaboration with Aerospace Science & Technology (S&T) departments.
- Lead category management, supplier coordination, and raw material availability escalation.
- Set and manage contracting strategies, negotiate pricing, ensure supply assurance, and achieve cost savings targets.
- Act as a link between Aerospace and other Category Managers impacting Aerospace materials.
- Collaborate with Aero S&T teams to enhance value and flexibility in formulations, including moving from single to dual sourcing.
- Resolve supplier-related production issues that plant operations groups cannot address.
- Identify and qualify alternative suppliers and sources.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Engineering, or related technical field preferred (or comparable related experience).
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Aerospace coatings procurement preferred.
