A Piping Project Lead is needed for an engineering consulting company in the Cary, NC area. This Piping Project Lead is responsible for managing project scope, deliverables, and team performance while ensuring compliance with standards and mentoring team members.

responsibilities:
- Lead a small team of Piping Designers and Engineers on assigned projects.
- Define piping scope based on client requirements.
- Estimate engineering and design effort-hours and develop discipline schedules and staffing plans.
- Ensure technical quality and approval of all piping deliverables.
- Manage scope changes and ensure compliance with codes, standards, and procedures.
- Mentor and guide team members, nurturing their professional growth.
- Proficiency in 3D piping design using software like Revit or AutoCAD Plant 3D.
- Ability to perform work in AutoCAD 2D.
- Experience in Pharmaceuticals preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with piping plans, sections, and isometric deliverables.
- strong teamwork and collaboration skills, especially in multi-disciplinary environments.
- Understanding of equipment arrangement, pipe stress, pipe design, pipe supports, and piping specifications.
- Functional knowledge of ASME B31.3 guidelines and requirements.
- 15+ years of experience in Piping Design or Piping Engineering.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a Project Piping Lead role.
