Leading company that specializes in providing equipment/solutions for polymer processing, focusing on extrusion and converting technologies is in search of a Mechanical Test Technician within the greater Westerly CT area. We are seeking candidates that have 3+ years of experience within a manufacturing environment. This experience must pertain to mechanical & electrical assembly, piping (including air-pneumatic, water, and hydraulic), power tools, measuring and testing instruments, fabricates and welding parts.

responsibilities:
- Accurate fitting, alignment and adjustment to very close tolerances and strict inspections.
- Working from engineering specifications, blueprints and general instructions, plans assembly procedures and methods.
- Test complete products or subassemblies to meet exacting operating requirements.
- Perform bench and floor assembly or a wide range of complicated mechanical and electrical-electronic control equipment.
- Uses all types of precision measuring instruments, hand and power tools.
- Makes suggestions for product improvement.
- Detect faulty operation, defective material, and refer these and other situations to Supervision.
- Follows standard safety regulations and maintains good housekeeping in area.
