An ESH Representative is needed for a global engineering, construction and project management company in the Brownsville, TX area. This role will ensure integration of safety and health requirements into project planning, design, and operations while conducting risk assessments, managing compliance, and enhancing safety procedures through collaboration and stakeholder communication.

responsibilities:
- Assist in executing the safety component of an Environmental, Safety, and Health (ESH) Program, covering technical and administrative aspects.
- Prepare and implement Safety and Health Management Plans, associated procedures, and training programs.
- Provide input to various departments (Engineering, Construction, Procurement, Subcontracts, Commissioning) to ensure integration of safety and health requirements.
- Interpret safety and health requirements and assist with plan preparation, risk assessment, and program execution.
- Research and document moderately complex safety issues and regulatory requirements.
- Support and guide safety studies, risk assessments, and program reviews/audits.
- Participate in emergency response, incident investigation, and resolution.
- Communicate with stakeholders and resolve safety-related concerns.
- Participate in meetings with customers, team members, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
- Conduct ESH inspections and monitoring to identify hazards, evaluate controls, and assess compliance with regulatory, contractual, and company requirements.
- Specialized knowledge in safety disciplines (e.g., PPE, lockout/tagout, fall protection, excavation, People Based Safety) or engineering disciplines (civil, process safety, mechanical).
- strong knowledge of safety management principles and monitoring methodologies.
- Familiarity with safety and health laws, regulations, and permitting processes.
- Understanding of engineering, construction, and subcontract work processes.
- Proficiency in oral and written communication and computer applications.
- Bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) in occupational safety or health with 5-8 years of relevant experience or
- 9-12 years of relevant work experience in safety-related roles.
