Our client is looking for a Construction Engineer for a Caltrans roadway project. This would be a 12+ month project assignment with the possibility of being hired on directly with our client. This project is located in Fresno CA. The ideal candidate will have their PE license in the state of California with six years of roadway engineering / construction experience. Out of state PE's will also be considered. The person will have experience leading highway and bridge construction projects, ensuring they meet safety, quality, budget, and schedule requirements. Experience with Caltrans or state DOT projects is preferred. Key responsibilities include project oversight, technical documentation, team management, site inspections, and stakeholder coordination.

responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee engineering projects, ensuring compliance with the Contract and Caltrans Standard Plans and Specifications.
- Prepare detailed technical documentation and reports, demonstrating proficiency in technical writing.
- Develop Change Orders, RFI responses, submittal responses.
- Prepare pay estimates and quantity sheets.
- Draft letters and responses to Potential Claim Records,
- Collaborate and manage Assistant Resident Engineers.
- Conduct site inspections to monitor progress and ensure adherence to Contract plans and specifications.
- Coordinate with various stakeholders, including client, contractors, utility companies, and regulatory agencies to facilitate project success.
- Assist in the review of project schedules and budgets while managing resources effectively.
- Conduct oversight of Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) inspections.
- Review Inspector Diaries.
