A Supply Management Planner is needed for an American corporation that manufactures agricultural, construction, and forestry machinery, diesel engines, drivetrains (axles, transmissions, gearboxes) used in heavy equipment, and lawn care equipment in the Waterloo, IA area. This role manages supplier relationships and ensures the timely delivery of service parts by overseeing supply chain planning, analyzing supplier performance, and collaborating with internal stakeholders.

responsibilities:
- Performs the duties of a Supply Management Planner managing supplier relationships and supporting factory operations.
- Focuses on ensuring on-time delivery of service parts through supplier collaboration and performance tracking.
- Execute supply chain planning activities in a low-complexity environment.
- Maintain daily contact with critical suppliers and address performance issues.
- Collect and analyze data on cost drivers, market trends, and supplier innovations.
- Identify and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Provide input on supplier contract performance for future negotiations.
- Oversee site or factory inventory and resolve discrepancies.
- Coordinate actions, meetings, and events with stakeholders.
- Participate in ongoing training and industry education to enhance knowledge.
- Use SPERT, ZMDelinq, and Lights (SAP) to manage parts delivery.
- Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel.
- Easily trainable with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- SAP experience is a plus.
- Bachelor's degree in a business-related field or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of planner experience or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a contingent will be considered.
