A Quality Control Technician is needed for a leader in power and automation technologies in the Mechanicsville, VA area. This position performs quality inspections, audits, and data analysis to ensure compliance with quality standards, manage nonconforming materials, and drive continuous improvement in manufacturing processes.

responsibilities:
- Maintain quality methods and processes while assisting with Supplier Qualification, nonconforming materials, corrective actions, supplier quality audits, and statistical process control.
- Perform incoming inspection analysis and first delivery assessment of materials and components according to written procedures and specifications.
- Conduct final inspections of finished assemblies following defined procedures, drawings, and standards.
- Coordinate and perform special process and product audits.
- Collect and provide data for reports and quality improvements.
- Assist in quality escalations and promote a quality culture and KPI goals on the production floor.
- Ensure compliance with the Quality Management System (ISO9001:2015).
- Periodically inspect components at various manufacturing stages to ensure adherence to inspection protocols.
- Complete and maintain all required documentation, records, and reports.
- Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as statistical process control, probability, statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.
- Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations
- Ability to analyze and interpret technical information including part drawings, blueprints and GD&T drawings.
- Requires the knowledge of and ability to operate and apply computers to technical and quality problems.
- Requires the ability to operate a variety of standard business machines, such as a computer and keyboard, calculator, camera, telephone, FAX, photocopier, etc.
- Requires the ability to operate a variety of electronic and electrical test/measuring equipment and small hand and power tools.
- Ability to work in a team environment and work on multiple projects.
- Associate's degree (2 year) with 1 years' experience in manufacturing or
- 3-5 years' experience in a manufacturing environment & QMS with GED.
