A Strategic Sourcing Specialist is needed for the world's largest food and beverage company in the St. Louis, MO or Remote area. This role will lead bid events (RFPs and RFIs) in the capital category of construction services, ensuring compliance, supplier prequalification, and alignment with Procurement policies while supporting project requirements and driving value creation.

responsibilities:
- Recognize strategic drivers and align with category priorities.
- Utilize intelligence tools and professional associations to stay informed about best practices and industry trends.
- Ensure compliance with Procurement and company policies, procedures, and practices.
- Apply project management principles to ensure efficient delivery of business objectives.
- Lead bidding events for services above Competitive Bid thresholds.
- Submit RFP/RFI requests to NBS for timely generation of bid events.
- Compare proposals, ensure compliance with contract templates, payment terms, and Procurement standards.
- Receive and process intake forms.
- Follow up with Project Managers through project completion for commercial aspects.
- Compile and communicate bid summaries and award scenarios.
- Work with the team on assigned RFPs and compile contract documents.
- Pro?ciency in Microsoft O?ce applications, including but not limited to Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- SAP, PowerBI, experience preferred.
- Understanding of multiple factory operations a plus.
- Database building or assembling of data into metrics and dashboards a plus.
- Contract negotiations experience is a plus.
- Bachelor's degree required in the areas of Supply Chain, Business, Engineering or Equivalent.
- Minimum 2 years sourcing, supply chain, technical/manufacturing experience preferred with experience in eSourcing processes, negotiations, construction, category strategy and supply agreement development.
