A Cap Ex Project Engineer is needed for a leading manufacturing organization outside of Greensboro, NC. The Cap Ex Project Engineer is responsible for preparing and coordinating complex manufacturing equipment to support new model launches, ensuring safety, quality, productivity, and cost KPIs are met.
The ideal candidate will have experience in equipment installation and construction, particularly within manufacturing start-ups. A BS in Engineering is preferred, and strong related experience will also be considered. This is a long term contract role, and some living allowance will be considered for qualified regional candidates.

responsibilities:
- Manage and update project schedules to ensure timely completion
- Coordinate with machine supervisors to oversee equipment procurement and specification
- Lead the installation, commissioning, start-up and runoff of new equipment
- Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, maintenance, process inspection, and quality teams
- Interact with general contractors, machine vendors, and environmental and logistics teams
- Ensure all projects adhere to safety, quality, and productivity standards
