A Product Development Project Manager is needed for a multinational manufacturing company that produces and distributes trucks, buses and construction equipment, as well as marine and industrial drive systems in the Greensboro, NC area. This role involves leading and executing engineering-based projects, managing scope, cost, schedule, and quality, coordinating resources, and ensuring successful project delivery, with a focus on vehicle and systems project management, preferably in electrical engineering.

responsibilities:
- Develop and implement operational plans for engineering-based projects.
- Define and manage scope, cost, schedule, quality, and risks.
- Deliver on agreed project objectives.
- Prepare designs, project controls, specifications, and schedules.
- Estimate costs and oversee production, transportation, installation, testing, and commissioning.
- Monitor progress and performance, resolving operational issues to prevent delays.
- Gather and allocate resources, including materials, equipment, and personnel.
- Develop engineering standards, work specifications, budgets, and forecasts.
- Manage project staff, external contractors, and stakeholders.
- Work independently with limited supervision.
- Coach and review the work of lower-level professionals.
- This position typically requires 5 years relevant experience.
- Electrical engineering background is a plus.
- May hold a Project Management certification.
