A CAD Design Technician is needed for a multinational pharmaceutical and biotechnology company, whose areas of business include pharmaceuticals, consumer healthcare products, agricultural chemicals, seeds and biotechnology products in the Muscatine, IA area. The CAD Design Technician is responsible for creating detailed 2D and 3D models, assisting in engineering design, developing construction and assembly documentation, and ensuring compliance with industry standards in mechanical, piping, and electrical design.

responsibilities:
Mechanical & Piping Designer Responsibilities:
- Develop piping and mechanical system designs for plant and industrial projects.
- Prepare engineering flow diagrams, equipment layouts, and installation details.
- Ensure compliance with engineering codes, standards, and regulations (OSHA, ASME, ADA, etc.).
- Verify field installations to match design specifications.
- Update and maintain as-built drawings.
- Design electrical and instrumentation systems for industrial applications.
- Create electrical schematics, connection diagrams, and loop diagrams.
- Ensure electrical systems adhere to NEC, OSHA, and industry standards.
- Conduct field verification and system reviews to maintain design accuracy.
- Support construction teams by providing updated design documents.
- Ensure compliance with engineering codes, standards, and regulations (OSHA, ASME, ADA, etc.).
- Verify field installations to match design specifications.
- Update and maintain as-built drawings.
- strong knowledge of design codes, standards, and industry best practices.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and other relevant design software.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate within a team.
- Associate degree in Drafting/Design Technology or equivalent.
- 7+ years of experience in CAD design, drafting, or related engineering fields.
