A Supply Management Planner is needed for an American corporation that manufactures agricultural, construction, and forestry machinery, diesel engines, drivetrains (axles, transmissions, gearboxes) used in heavy equipment, and lawn care equipment in the Rock Island, IL area. This role manages supplier relationships, inventory, and supply chain planning to ensure timely and cost-effective factory operations while driving continuous improvement in quality and delivery.

responsibilities:
- Execute supply chain planning activities within a defined framework.
- Maintain day-to-day supplier relationships and manage supplier performance.
- Respond to and analyze supplier-related incidents to ensure quality and delivery.
- Gather data on cost drivers, market dynamics, and alternative suppliers.
- Contribute to process improvements and operational efficiency initiatives.
- Monitor contract performance and provide insights for negotiations.
- Manage inventory for a site or factory, resolving discrepancies as needed.
- Coordinate meetings and actions with stakeholders.
- Engage in professional development through training and industry updates.
- strong planning, organizing, and action-planning abilities.
- Experience in data collection, analysis, and reporting.
- Proficiency in procurement processes, costing, and budgeting.
- Effective verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of traffic and vehicle planning.
- Post-secondary non-tertiary education required.
- Experience with office/operational systems (4-6 months).
