An Electrical Designer is needed for a global engineering, construction and project management company in the Kennedy Space Center, FL area. This role involves leading the design and development of electrical components and processes, ensuring compliance with standards, resolving technical issues, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to meet complex project requirements.

responsibilities:
Level 1:
- Evaluates, selects, and applies standard engineering methods, techniques, procedures and criteria, using independent judgment with limited oversight.
- Performs electrical engineering design, including the development of higher tier documentation, as well as schematics, connection diagrams, load lists, etc.
- Leads multi-disciplinary design teams on projects of moderate complexity.
- Develops material requisitions and specifications for non-standard cable assemblies and provided engineering support to cable manufacture for project requirements and quantities.
- Properly interprets and applies codes & standards and customer design requirements, for the preparation of specifications, material requisitions and system descriptions related to design tasks..
- Provide guidance on engineering methods, techniques, procedures and criteria to expand the skillsets of peers
- Participates in and fosters a work environment that is based upon openness, trust, communication, teamwork, empowerment, innovation, and satisfaction.
- Ensures electrical systems designs comply with all applicable installation codes, regulations and standards.
- When delegated, provides guidance to other electrical engineering personnel for specific tasks or projects
- Completes electrical documentation and procedures for installation and maintenance
- Selects components and equipment based on analysis of specifications and reliability
- Perform system calculations such as short circuit and load-flow; size equipment and perform cable sizing calculations.
- Apply NEC code and ANSI/IEEE Standards.
- Use electrical system design tools like ETAP, CAD 2D, and electronic Cable Management Systems.
- Communicate effectively and work well within a team.
- Collaborate with other disciplines.
- Manage conflicting deadlines, frequent interruptions, and multiple tasks.
- Possess excellent oral and written communication skills.
Level 1
- Requires Bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 5-8 years of relevant experience or
- 9-12 years of relevant work experience.
- Requires Bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 8-10 years of relevant experience or
- 12-14 years of relevant work experience.
