A Quality Inspector in the Grand Rapids, MI area is needed for a multinational power management company. The Quality Inspector is responsible for conducting thorough inspections and audits to ensure products meet specified quality standards, preparing detailed reports, and collaborating with various departments to maintain compliance and support production goals.

responsibilities:
- Conduct inspections for both receiving and final stages, ensuring products meet quality standards.
- Utilize manual layout techniques, calipers, micrometers, plug and pin gauges for precise measurements.
- Prepare and complete First Article Inspection Reports in accordance with AS9102 requirements.
- Maintain detailed records of inspections and audit findings.
- Conduct Assembly Floor Layer Process Audits to ensure compliance with quality procedures.
- Perform 5S audits to promote a safe and organized working environment.
- Work closely with the Quality Supervisor and other departments to address quality issues.
- Support month-end shipments by providing necessary inspection assistance.
- Interpret blueprints and apply Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) principles to evaluate product compliance.
- Utilize Windows-based software, including Microsoft Excel and Word, for reporting and documentation.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Minimum of two years' experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience with AS9102 First Article Inspection.
- Proficiency in software packages such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, SharePoint, and PowerPoint.
- strong ability to read, understand, and follow product specifications, drawings, and work orders in English.
