An Environmental Technician is needed for a leader in the world of Technical Services and Engineering in the Vernon, CA area. This role conducts environmental monitoring, waste management, and equipment operations while maintaining records and providing leadership in compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

responsibilities:
- Performs non-routine, sometimes heavy labor tasks related to industrial and hazardous waste management, environmental surveys, and wastewater treatment operations.
- Collects samples and maintains detailed documentation in record logs.
- Operates various equipment, including trucks, pumps, vacuum systems, oil booms, and generators.
- Establishes and maintains logs of activities.
- Tests, calibrates, repairs, and modifies control and instrumentation systems.
- Works independently on many assignments.
- Provides leadership and guidance to lower-level technicians.
- Prepares reports on activities and findings.
- Maintains logs and records of individual and group activities.
- Performs additional duties as needed.
- 40-hour OSHA training is a plus.
- May require operator certification.
- Proficiency in technician responsibilities, testing techniques, and operations.
- Associate's degree in a related field.
- 4+ years of experience.
