Our client is looking to add a Civil Engineer to their growing team. This is a direct hire opportunity located in Santa Paula CA. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience designing and reviewing plans for water distribution, sewer collection, pumping stations, roadways, and stormwater projects in residential, industrial, and commercial sectors. This person will be overseeing draftsmen and could eventually turn into a lead postion.
Qualifications
- 3-5 years of experience in civil/structural engineering
- PE license required
- Experience with AutoCAD, Civil3D, Revit (preferred)
- Excellent skills in cut & fill calculations, retaining walls, and site development

responsibilities:
- Prepare estimates and feasibility reports for new or modified services and structures.
- Administer contracts for construction projects.
- Perform complex calculations and prepare estimates of material costs and time considerations.
- Participate in the plan check, review, and processing of plans for private developments affecting streets, sewers, drains and related public works facilities and ensure that they meet all imposed requirements.
- Check building plans for compliance with applicable building codes and ordinances.
- Prepare special engineering studies and reports.
- Prepare site plans and mapping of wet and dry utilities.
- Review and order surveys and topography.
