A Supply Management Specialist is needed for an American corporation that manufactures agricultural, construction, and forestry machinery, diesel engines, drivetrains (axles, transmissions, gearboxes) used in heavy equipment, and lawn care equipment in the Urbandale, IA area. This role supports supply chain operations by managing supplier relationships, driving engineering product development deliverables, negotiating contracts, and ensuring continuity of supply through strategic sourcing and risk mitigation.

responsibilities:
- Support the Engineering Change Management (ECM) process to ensure timely and cost-effective design changes and product improvements.
- Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement for production parts.
- Manage supplier relationships, track performance, and define corrective actions for improvement.
- Oversee supply chain deliverables for engineering product development programs.
- Ensure continuity of supply through risk mitigation, critical resourcing, and continuous improvement efforts.
- Negotiate supply agreements (e.g., Last Time Buy) to meet cost, quality, and supply continuity goals.
- Working knowledge of Supply Management processes, including sourcing, contracting, and negotiations.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment or ability to quickly learn new processes.
- strong interpersonal communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
- Expertise in strategic sourcing, supplier integration, supply management, supplier development, and cost reduction.
- Ability to manage competing priorities, multi-task, and resolve complex problems.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced office environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Outlook.
- Supply Chain experience.
- SAP experience.
- Experience in the Electronics Industry.
- Experience working with global teams or global products.
