Manufacturer in Detroit is seeking an Engineering Supervisor to oversee its commercial fleet division. The supervisor will oversee a team of product development engineers and senior engineers and assure that all engineering activities are performed, and project timing and customer expectations are met. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in engineering and at least 4 years of experience in manufacturing/engineering as a supervisor or team lead. Previous automotive fleet or fleet accessories experience is highly prefered.

responsibilities:
- Oversee facets of the commercial fleet department, its programs and a team of product development engineers including hiring and performance management
- Lead product development engineers in project completion, design, product development and quality assurance
- Oversee engineering meetings, operations and sales and analyze product performance
- Engage with suppliers for technical improvements
- Provide project updates to management and oversee process improvement initiatives
- B.S. in Engineering
- At least 4 years of experience in an engineering supervisory role in manufacturing
- Previous fleet or fleet experience highly preferred
- Automotive manufacturing background
