A Test Engineer is needed for a multinational corporation that is involved in the design, development, manufacturing, and worldwide marketing and sales of athletic apparel, equipment, accessories, and services in the Beaverton, OR area. The Test Engineer will independently conduct and analyze mechanical and materials tests on footwear products, support continuous improvement in lab testing processes, and collaborate with product teams to ensure high-quality outcomes.

responsibilities:
- Perform standard materials and mechanical tests.
- Review, analyze, and report data findings.
- Communicate results to product creation teams.
- Assist senior engineers on testing-related projects.
- Consult and train others in your area of expertise.
- Help identify and implement improvements in test protocols and equipment.
- Collaborate closely with product creation teams to ensure product quality.
- strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain technical data to non-technical audiences.
- Experience in product/materials testing and statistical data analysis.
- Basic knowledge of biomechanics and/or CAD (considered a plus).
- Hands-on experience with universal testing machines (required).
- Experience in footwear or apparel testing in a lab setting (preferred).
- Independent, proactive, and takes initiative ("go-getter" mindset).
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- 2+ years of experience in test design, data collection/analysis, or equipment design.
