In this role you willl apply expert knowledge to identify, analyze, and resolve safety issues, while maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements and HSE management systems.
Required:
- BS or MS degree in Chemical Engineering, Industrial Hygiene, Safety Engineering, Environmental, or a related field.
- 10% travel
- RMP and PSM experience
- 5-10 years of HSE experience in a manufacturing environment involving hazardous chemicals and gases.
- Experience in identifying, evaluating, and developing cost-effective procedural and system solutions for managing safety, industrial hygiene, and environmental issues- chemical/gas safety, electrical safety, ergonomics, noise pollution, laser safety, and process safety.
- Experience with lock-out/tag-out procedures and protocols
- Experience with: Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Power BI, etc.
- Knowledge of chemicals and gases used in semiconductor processes to include the potential hazardous effects of exposure and corresponding best practices to minimize those hazards
- Certified Industrial Hygienist.

responsibilities:
- Serve as a subject matter expert in safety, applying risk and hazard analysis to maintain safety standards in compliance with ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and OSHA VPP.
- Collaborate with the site leadership team to provide HSE guidance and technical support, coordinating safety-related activities and processes.
- Lead and contribute safety expertise to the specification, design, implementation, and launch of new processes and procedures.
- Oversee daily safety operations, including risk mitigation strategies, across multi-division production facilities.
- Participate in daily safety meetings, conduct safety walks, and perform audits to ensure compliance and identify areas for improvement.
- Analyze trends related to injuries and near misses, and develop and deliver relevant safety initiatives and training.
- Foster collaboration with other HSE sites and regions to enhance overall safety performance across North America.
