A Project Manager is needed for a multinational package delivery and supply chain management company in the Atlanta, GA area. This role supports and executes project management activities across multiple initiatives by applying PM principles, coordinating with stakeholders, ensuring alignment with strategic goals, and driving process improvement through effective planning, communication, and use of PM tools.

responsibilities:

Manages entire project lifecycle: scope, schedule, initiation, design, build, and deployment.

Creates and maintains PM artifacts (e.g., Project Charter, Plan, RACI, Risk/Issue logs, Status Reports).

Ensures deliverable quality.

Applies PM tools for governance, oversight, and alignment with strategic goals.

Facilitates project initiation/planning (objectives, resources, milestones, risks, communications).

Reviews cost plans and funding with the Project Lead.

Proficient in soft skills essential to PM success.

Conducts interviews with process owners to define "as-is" and "to-be" processes.

Identifies skill gaps and improvement areas for the team.

Assists in problem resolution and identifies business impacts.

Identifies root causes to prevent repeat issues.

Communicates process changes and trains stakeholders.

Develops and monitors process metrics.

Observes and gathers feedback to drive process improvements.



Required Qualifications:

• Willingness to work full-time (~40 hrs/week), including occasional weekends/holidays.
  
  
  
  
• Proficient with commercial PM tools (e.g., MS Project, MS Office).
  
  
  
  
• Experience with remote meeting tools (Zoom, Skype, WebEx, etc.).
  
  
  
  
• Willingness to travel (air/road).
  
  

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree (or international equivalent).
  
  
  
  
• 3 years of PM experience.
  
  
  
  
• 6 years as a project team member.
  
  
  
  
• Familiarity with MS Office Suite including MS Project and SharePoint.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications: PM Certifications (PMI PMP, Agile, Lean, Six Sigma, etc.).
