A Technical Writer is needed for a multinational corporation that produces mirrors as well as a variety of construction, high-performance, and other materials in the Norwood, MA area. This role involves creating, updating, and maintaining clear, user-friendly technical documentation to support manufacturing operations and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.

responsibilities:
- Review and standardize SOPs and checklists for clarity, accuracy, and compliance.
- Collaborate with SMEs in production, quality control, and safety for information gathering.
- Develop documentation suitable for production employees and new hires.
- Maintain version control and ensure consistent formatting and accessibility.
- Identify and improve gaps in existing SOPs.
- Align documentation updates with training and onboarding efforts.
- Use visual aids and step-by-step instructions to improve usability.
- Ensure all documentation adheres to safety, regulatory, and industry standards.
- Regularly review and update documents as processes change.
- Ability to translate complex processes into clear, concise documentation.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and documentation tools.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing and OSHA standards is a plus.
- strong communication and collaboration skills for cross-functional teamwork.
- Comfortable working in loud, fast-paced manufacturing environments with prolonged standing.
- Bachelor's degree in Technical Writing, Communications, Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field.
- 2+ years of technical writing experience, preferably in manufacturing/industrial/production settings.
