A Principal Environmental/Remediation Engineer is needed for a leader in the world of Technical Services and Engineering in the Bridgewater NJ area. This position will lead technical environmental engineering efforts focused on the remediation of former Manufactured Gas Plant sites, from investigation through site closure, while guiding project teams and ensuring regulatory compliance.

responsibilities:
- Provide technical leadership in geotechnical, civil, and sediment remediation projects.
- Serve as Project Engineer on medium to large-scale projects.
- Supervise and direct engineering teams and design personnel.
- Ensure design compliance with applicable codes and regulations; may seal and sign designs as a PE.
- Prepare specifications, purchase requisitions, and review supplier capabilities and data.
- Develop O&M plans, SOPs, and manuals; may conduct on-site training.
- Perform surveys, site investigations, RAM (reliability, availability, maintenance), and safety analyses.
- Stay current with professional developments through society affiliations.
- Assist in budgeting, staffing, and administrative planning for projects.
- Write and present technical papers and reports; review reports from other team members.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred or must be obtained within 12 months.
- strong written/verbal communication skills and industry knowledge.
- In-depth understanding of MGP site remediation and remedial technologies.
- Skilled in using engineering software for environmental applications.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Master's preferred).
- 10+ years of environmental engineering experience.
