A Piping Superintendent is needed for a global engineering, construction and project management company in the Portland, TX area. The Piping Superintendent oversees all aspects of piping construction at an LNG facility, ensuring safe, timely, and compliant execution through team leadership, scheduling, coordination, and technical oversight.

responsibilities:
- Provide Environmental, Safety & Health (ES&H) leadership for piping teams.
- Lead safety procedures and meetings, enforce safe work practices.
- Conduct site inspections for unsafe practices and address them.
- Monitor craft activity for spec/schedule compliance.
- Manage craft labor costs, schedules, and manpower planning.
- Coordinate labor hiring, training, and interface with Labor/IR.
- Review and approve time records and subcontractor mobilization.
- Enforce project policies and procedures for piping operations.
- Provide inputs to scheduling and quantity tracking systems.
- Handle requisitions for tools and consumables via Procurement.
- Assist with construction testing and related verifications.
- strong leadership and team motivation abilities.
- Effective problem-solving in high-pressure scenarios.
- Direct hire construction supervisory experience in heavy industrial settings.
- Experience in LNG, oil, gas, petrochemical, or power construction.
- Proficiency in MS Office and database tools.
- Working knowledge of industry codes/standards.
- Experience with hydro and pneumatic test packages.
- B.S. in Engineering/Construction Management + 5-8 years of relevant experience or
- 9-12 years of direct industry experience in lieu of a degree.
