A Material Coordinator is needed for an American corporation that manufactures agricultural, construction, and forestry machinery, diesel engines, drivetrains (axles, transmissions, gearboxes) used in heavy equipment, and lawn care equipment in the Davenport, IA area. This role ensures efficient production material flow by coordinating inventory, scheduling, and supply logistics across departments using MRP systems to meet manufacturing demands.

responsibilities:
- Coordinate material flow across multiple departments, including shipping and receiving.
- Ensure production personnel have the necessary parts to meet product demands.
- Monitor, track, and maintain inventory accuracy and timeliness.
- Identify and recommend solutions for production scheduling issues.
- Manage tactical execution of production plans, including communication with broader teams.
- May supervise or direct material handlers, stock chasers, or truckers.
- Oversee procurement, expediting, production, and delivery of materials.
- Handle movement of rejected materials and manage returns to source.
- Use the Master Schedule to create and distribute daily production schedules.
- Audit and improve material replenishment cycles and accuracy.
- Utilize SAP or similar MRP systems for scheduling and inventory control.
- Analyze data to improve material availability and inventory processes.
- Work collaboratively within Operations and Supply Management teams.
- Preferred background includes Supply Management/Operations or military experience.
