A Quality Assurance Engineer for a medical devices and equipment manufacturing company is needed in the Kalamazoo, MI area. The role is responsible for developing and implementing quality control processes, performing product testing and validation, analyzing defects, and collaborating with suppliers to ensure product reliability and continuous improvement.

responsibilities:
- Develop and implement methods and procedures for:
- Process control
- Process improvement
- Testing and inspection
- Process control
- Ensure products are free of flaws and function as designed.
- Design and install advanced testing equipment.
- Perform product testing and analysis to:
- Maintain quality standards
- Minimize defects and failure rates
- Support validation activities
- Maintain quality standards
- Analyze quality reports and defective products to identify trends.
- Recommend and implement corrective actions to address quality issues.
- Collaborate with suppliers to resolve quality problems.
- Ensure effective corrective actions are implemented with suppliers.
- Contribute to ongoing supplier quality improvement programs.
- Utilize PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) methodology (preferred).
- Individual contributor role requiring professional judgment and expertise.
- Expected to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Requires a university degree or equivalent practical experience.
- strong understanding of procedures and concepts within quality or engineering discipline.
- Capable of making informed judgments based on prior experience and best practices.
- Industry or job-related experience required.
