A Quality Engineer for a medical devices and equipment manufacturing company is needed in the West Valley City, UT area. This Quality Engineer role supports production and supplier quality in a regulated manufacturing environment, focusing on validations, part certifications, problem-solving, and continuous process improvement.

responsibilities:
- Provide daily production line support and quality decision-making.
- Perform and support software and equipment validations (IQ, OQ, PQ).
- Complete part certifications on supplied raw materials.
- Monitor and respond to NCs (Non-Conformances) and CAPAs (Corrective and Preventive Actions).
- Lead/participate in process improvement for new/existing products.
- Review and approve change management activities.
- Monitor KPIs and supplier quality data; take action based on trends.
- Maintain Approved Supplier List (ASL).
- Support QATs and First Article Inspections.
- Experience in regulated environments (Medical Device, Aerospace, Automotive, Defense, etc.).
- CQE certification or equivalent training.
- Understanding of medical device manufacturing processes.
- Familiarity with ISO 13485, GDP, GMP.
- Lean Six Sigma training (preferred).
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Skilled in risk-based and statistical techniques (Process Capability, Sampling Plans, Gauge R&Rs).
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- strong analytical, problem-solving, and multitasking abilities.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field with 2+ years of quality/engineering experience or
- Master's degree with 0+ years in a quality discipline.
