Controls Automation Engineer needed for direct hire role just outside of Syracuse NY!

The right person will have a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Controls Engineering with 1 to 5 years of related design experience. Knowledge of Allen Bradley or Siemens PLCs are key for this position. Must have experience with web handling equipment, motor drives, PLC's etc
This role is completely onsite and may require travel up to 10% for customer visits and vendor meetings.

responsibilities:
- Develop / design control systems for continuous web handling machinery according
- Perform design and drafting tasks under the guidance of a Senior or Staff Project Engineer.
- Support designers in creating Bills of Materials (BOMs).
- Work in tandem with design engineers and collaborate with team to ensure timely project completion.
- Provide backup support for assembly, purchasing, and field service inquiries and issues.
- Participate in project team meetings for contract discussions and design reviews.
- Travel up to 10% for customer visits, vendor meetings, and project start-ups as needed.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
- Maintain awareness of ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, and ISO 45001:2018 management systems.
