Manufacturer in Sarasota is seeking an Electronics Engineer to add to their team. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience working with electronic systems design and development. A Bachelor's degree in electrical or electronics is required as well as previous manufacturing experience. Familiarity with FDA safety compliance requirement highly preferred, and experience with MATLAB or Altium Designer. Occasional travel to other plant location may be required, about 10%. responsibilities:
- Lead the design and development of electronic systems, including sensors, controllers, and communication modules.
- Utilize design and simulation tools (e.g., Altium Designer, MATLAB) to bring concepts to life.
- Apply PCBA accelerated stress testing methods, such as HALT, Burn-In, Temperature, ESD, EMI, and EMC testing.
- Design electronic circuits, select components, and create PCB layouts while working with embedded systems.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot technical challenges during development and testing phases.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical engineers, software developers, and product engineers, to integrate electronic controls and components with mechanical and electrical systems.
- Develop and test prototypes to ensure reliability, functionality, and compliance with industry standards.
- Perform definition, documentation, prototyping, testing and debugging, qualification, and release to production of reliable and cost-effective electronic solutions
- Evaluate and optimize product concepts regarding manufacturability, packaging and material handling
- Generate product prototypes and perform product testing
- Develop and evaluate cost analysis; assist in the process of bringing the product to mass production
- Provides Technical support in solving electronic product quality problems with existing products
- Improve the electronics development process, to guarantee the quality, improve the time-to-market and increase the efficiency
- Responsible to meet electrical safety compliance requirements (FDA, CE, UL, NEC, FCC and others) and coordinate product compliance testing
- Experience wtih electronic system design and developent
- Electronic circuit design, PCB Layout and embedded systems
- Solid knowledge of PCBA stress testing metholds and industry standards
- Excellent analytical abilities
- B.S. Electrical or Electronics Engineering
- At least 3 years of experience working in with controls or electronics design in manufacturing
