responsibilities:
- Ability to work with CNC lathes to manufacture metallic components, ranging in size from 2 inches in diameter and short lengths to 20 inches in diameter and long lengths.
- Use instruments, gauges, and shop tools to verify adherence to operational drawings and ensure part conformity.
- Interpret and comprehend basic technical drawings to produce parts that meet specified requirements.
- Adjust machine offsets to maintain part conformity.
- Utilize indexable cutting tools to ensure proper cutting edges.
- Perform minor machine setups under supervision.
- Maintain lot traceability and accountability.
- Measure and document dimensions during operations and maintain machining and operational records.
- Demonstrate willingness to teach and help improve the skills of others.
- Adhere to safety procedures and regulations to ensure safe operations.
- Work independently with minimal direction from senior personnel within the functional area.
- Follow company processes and procedures to comply with ISO and AS9100 standards.
- Adhere to established company safety standards.
