Industrial Field Service Technician for a full-time opportunity in the Rocky Hill, CT area. The Field Service Technician will perform diagnostics and troubleshooting of controls, circuits, PLC's and other components for customized electrical systems. You will also travel to domestic customer sites, (up to 35% of the time) and assist with installs, commissioning, rework, as well as PM of these systems.
The right person will have excellent customer facing skills, a passion for this industry and at least 4 years of related electronics Field Service work. A technical AS degree in electronics is highly preferred.

responsibilities:
- Install, commission, rework, electrical control systems, and related equipment.
- Perform troubleshooting of control circuits / systems.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams
- Conduct inspections and PM to ensure system reliability and efficiency.
- Collaborate with engineers and project managers to complete installations and optimize system performance.
- Document service reports, maintenance logs
- Assemble electrical wiring and components and connect to printed circuits or routes and connect wires between individual components leads and other components, connectors, terminals, and contact points. Install finished assemblies or sub-assemblies in cases and cabinets or panels.
- HS education along with 6-9 years field experience with similar electronics/components or AS Degree in Electronics preferred w/4 years related experience
- Ability to read electrical schematics, blueprints, instructions
- Ability to travel up to 35% to customer sites
- Must have computer skills working with MS Word, Outlook and Excel
- Proven electronics technical expertise, problem-solving abilities, and excellent customer service
skills. - Assemble and attach hardware, switches, and PLC components assemblies.
