A Project Controls Coordinator is needed for a company that transports, distributes and generates energy, with diversified assets that include a balance between crude oil and natural gas in the Waltham, MA area. This role leads cost control for multiple energy sector projects by guiding project teams in budgeting, forecasting, and reporting, while ensuring adherence to governance processes and effective project performance tracking.

responsibilities:
- Provide Total Cost Control guidance, governance, and support for project managers and teams.
- Collaborate closely with schedule control counterparts.
- Support implementation of project control processes (baselining, change management, risk assessments, stage gates, reporting).
- Report to Supervisor, Project Controls within the Core Programs team, supporting maintenance projects.
- Prepare cost reports for stakeholders ranging from team members to senior executives and the Board of Directors.
- Monitor field costs during construction phases using tools like Digital LEMS and Contractor Weekly Control documents.
- Review and forecast cost/cash flow in collaboration with project teams.
- Analyze variances, cost/schedule performance indices, and identify cost risks using Earned Value Management (EVM).
- Ensure compliance with standards related to AFEs (Authorization for Expenditure), including internal/external costs, contingency, escalation, etc.
- Certification like AACE's CCC/CCE or PMP is preferred.
- strong analytical, prioritization, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and with cross-functional teams across multiple locations.
- Bachelor's degree preferred in Business, Engineering, or Construction Management.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in cost management/project controls.
- Preferred experience in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Industrial, or Power sectors.
