responsibilities:
- Set goals and guide the R&D team, offering mentorship, training, and technical direction.
- Manage R&D projects through all phases, from initial concept to final delivery, ensuring technical accuracy, efficient resource use, and on-time completion.
- Create and improve products based on customer input and market trends.
- Oversee lab operations, including sample handling, workflow improvements, and adherence to safety and cost standards.
- Develop and uphold testing procedures to ensure product and process quality, set benchmarks and validate manufacturing steps.
- Work with teams across sales, finance, quality, and manufacturing to bring new products from development to market launch.
- Support the sales team by addressing customer questions, clarifying product requirements, and helping shape development plans.
- Manage lab equipment upkeep, scheduling maintenance and repairs in line with safety and manufacturer standards.
- Stay informed on industry changes and regulations to ensure products and processes remain compliant and up to date.
- Perform additional duties as needed.
